Awesome training platform for AR15. I previously owned a BCA 22lr side-charging upper but had way too many light primer strikes for it to be very enjoyable—sold it and went with this M&P 15-22. Topped it with a Holosun 403B and have maybe half a box of 300 through it with 0 malfunctions which is AWESOME. I also like the shorter barrel and mated handguard length, makes for a nice tidy suppressor host.
